BioWare has an excellent rap sheet. The Canadian based company has brought us such excellent titles as Mass Effect, Baldurs Gate, and, of course, Knights of the Old Republic.

So what makes BioWare so good for SWTOR? Lets break it down.
1.
Immersive Storytelling. Remember the moment you realized that YOU were Darth Revan? BioWare has a knack for creating compelling story arcs and connecting the player emotionally with the characters. Moral choices abound in their games, and they are ever so difficult to make. Especially when the player has to deal with the outcome of their decisions throughout the entire game. These moral choices will no doubt make an appearance in The Old Republic, causing the player to actually think about what they are doing.
2.
Innovation. BioWare is bringing to the table the first fully-voiced MMORPG to date. That is simply an astonishing achievement in MMO gaming. In a game world so large, to be able to speak to each NPC as if they were an actual person, adds a thick layer of immersion into the already bustling game world. This, paired along with the improved conversation and dialogue system, looks to be one of the most realistic features in MMOs to date.
BioWare's impressive track record would have been enough to make any Star Wars fan soil themselves with thoughts of SWTOR, but they haven't rested on their laurels. The developer continues to improve and innovate in the RPG genre, giving the players what they want...and some things they didn't even know they wanted. The Old Republic is their biggest, and most ambitious project to date. From what BioWare has shown us so far, it won't disappoint.
